KARACHI- Cantonment Board Clifton President Brigadier Abid Ali Askari Station Commander, Karachi inaugurated the Water Filtration Plant at Phase 1 Commercial Pump House DHA.
CBC Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Saleem Hassan Wattoo and local dignitaries were present on the occasion. Explaining the details of the water filter plant, Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Saleem Hassan Wattoo said that the installation of water filter plant in DHA Phase 1 would benefit the slums including Akhtar Colony, Azam Basti and Kashmir Colony. The water filter plant will provide 2,000 gallons of drinking water to the residents of the area on a daily basis. He said that “we are committed to provide all the basic amenities to the residents at their doorsteps”. He was busy in solving the problems of the people to ensure the supply of clean drinking water in the areas so that a healthy society could be formed.
He also said that plans have been made to set up more plants to alleviate the water shortage which would facilitate the people. He reiterated that laying of new water lines, paving of roads, upgrading of street lights system and improvement of sewerage system, adding that it was our intention to make CBC a model. Our mission is to solve as many public issues as possible, on which the residents of the area appreciated the initiative of CBC.
