Carolina Ardon was born in Honduras and moved to the United States when she was ten due to her father’s employment. She still remembers the interview at U.S. Embassy Tegucigalpa and how kind and respectful the Consular Officer was to her family. That interaction shaped my view as a Consular Officer – she knows what it’s like to be on the other side of the consular window. She is serving as a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State. She enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and continually taking on challenging tasks, which lead to professional development, growth, and promote the interests of the employer.
Carolina Ardon’s parents sacrificed and worked hard to ensure her brother and she had access to opportunities and a bright future they instilled in me the value of hard work, dedication, and kindness to others. The day she became a U.S. citizen was and remains the happiest day of her life.
Carolina Ardon proud to be an immigrant, a Latina, and represent the United States as a Diplomat. She serving her country is an opportunity to display the diversity of the United States and how immigrants, People of Color, members of the LGBTQ community, and other minority groups contribute to and make up the fabric of our nation.
