Dreamworld Resort & Destination Events by Dreamworld organized a business networking event, in collaboration with Destination Projects Pvt. Ltd., Pakistan Britain Business Council (PBBC) & Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (ICCIA). The event was organized to engage the business community of Pakistan with Global Diplomats in Karachi to stimulate new business opportunities with various countries through focusing on the various services sectors including Travel & Tourism and especially Blue Economy in Pakistan.
Mr. Ali Hamdani, CEO – Destination Projects by Dreamworld informed the audience that the 1000 km coastal belt of Pakistan is a wealth that has the tendency to change destiny of the country. He also briefed the audience about launch of Pakistan’s 1st Beach Hotel Destination Hotel Manora Beach, Destination Hotel Greens Peshawar, as well as, Destination Projects’ aim of launching 30 Properties in different cities of Pakistan in next 3 years under the brands of Destination Hotels, Destination Heritage, Destination Holidays & Destination Lodges to promote travel & tourism in Pakistan.
Mr. Julian Hamilton Barns, Chairman – Pakistan Britain Business Council (PBBC) also addressed the audience while highlighting the huge potential of Blue Tourism and Blue Economy of Pakistan. Mr. Rashid Iqbal, CEO – Pakistan Britain Business Council encouraged the business community to come forward and increase trade and work with their UK counterparts.
Dr. Abdul Badih, Director Events – Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture informed the audience about organizing a forum on Sustainable Travel & Tourism in Pakistan. He also informed that Pakistan is a land of diversity, be it ethnic, regional or religious. It is a land of great cultural heritage, progressive development and natural landscapes. Yet it is known to the world within limitations and there is a lot more to be explored.
Mr. Irfan Hilal, CEO – Dreamworld Resort briefed the audience about the tremendous potentials of our motherland Pakistan. He also urged the diplomats to encourage their Governments, their investors & their businesses, especially those who are involved in blue tourism, to explore the wonderful opportunities in blue tourism offered by Pakistan.
Chief Guest of the night His Excellency Mr. Mishal Mohammad Ali Al-Ansari, Consul General of Qatar in Karachi, Mr. Saeed Sarparah, CEO Balochistan Board of Investment & Trade and Mr. Jahanzeb Khan, DG Balochistan Coastal Development Authority also addressed the audience.
The event was also attended by His Excellency Mr. Jagath Aberwarna, Consul General of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Eng. Sami Abdullah Salim Al Khanjari, Consul General of Oman in Karachi and many highly accredited Investors & Businesspersons from all sectors. The event was followed by a networking dinner.
