Mr. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Chairman of FPCCI’s Management Committee, has condemned the heinous and cowardly terrorist attack on the innocent civilians while they were praying in a Peshawar Mosque. Death toll has crossed 63 and that many families of the victims are in an immediate need of a comprehensive support and assistance package, he added.
Mr. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh noted with profound grief that the incident has left many families without any bread earners; and, many victims have been left temporarily and permanently disabled. Injured should be given the best possible medical care till they have been fully rehabilitated, he added.
FPCCI Chief has demanded that the provincial and federal governments should provide all the humanitarian, medical, financial and familial support to the victims of this barbarianism and the massacre. He called for a thorough assessment of each family’s sufferings and rehabilitation needs.
Mr. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh added that the entire business, industrial and trade community of Pakistan stands with families of the victims and they should not be left alone. He also appreciated the 24/7 ongoing investigations and arrests pertaining to the incident by the civilian and military law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
The business community calls for an exemplary and swift punishment to the culprits and their abettors; and, is ever-willing to support the government to create a harmonious, prosperous and peaceful environment in the country.
