KARACHI – The leaders and members of United Business Group (UBG) lamented the deliberated attempt by the DGTO to delay the decision on the complaint filed by Khalid Tawab on the election of FPCCI 2021.
Members of UBG have vehemently criticized the role of DGTO for unnecessarily delaying his decision particularly after the decision of Honourable Sindh High Court rejecting the petition of Nasir Hayat Magoo.
Despite the fact that all necessary evidence was provided to DGTO office regarding the election 2021 and on top of that the DGTO team itself was present during the election day at the venue of the election ie Federation House witnessing all the election proceedings till the announcement of provisional election results hence the delay at the end of DGTO office has created doubts in the minds of the business community for unfair play and anchoring unfair means to facilitate and favoritism to Nasir Hayat to prolong his unlawful occupation of the president office of FPCCI.
The members while further expressing their great deal of grievances, concern, and furiousness said the DGTO office under the Trade Organization Act 2013 (TOA) and Trade Organization Rules 2013 (TOR) was established to oversee the issues of Trade Bodies but the DGTO has miserably failed to resolve the issues of Trade Bodies similarly as he failed the last year 2020 to make the decision on the election of SVP of FPCCI which remained pending till the end of 2020 at his end proving the office of DGTO is a menace and counterproductive.
It was further disclosed by the members that the DGTO office in a statement submitted to Honorable Sindh High Court had already confirmed that Pak Afghanistan Joint Chamber and Loralai chamber cast their votes illegally in cognizant with the bias election commission who in addition to these illegal votes, also counted the declared invalid votes in favor of the opposite candidate.
They demanded that the DGTO is compelled to act under TOA 2013 and TOR 2013 and announce its decision without any further loss of time to uphold the integrity of the office of DGTO.
