Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has been laid to rest, ending a seven-decade long reign with emotion and pomp, with members of the royal family attending the funeral at Windsor Castle’s King George VI Memorial Chapel.
Queen Elizabeth was joined by her late husband Prince Philip, father George VI, the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret as the Queen’s coffin was lowered into the Royal Vault under St George’s Chapel.
The coffin was carried in a royal procession from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey, two thousand people attended a prayer service in the historic church Westminster Abbey, after the prayer service, King Charles placed the Queen’s flag on the coffin.
Lord Chamberlain Lord Chamberlain broke his official wand and placed it on the coffin.
Heads of state, important figures, senior British politicians and former prime ministers from all over the world were also present to pay their respects. Pakistan was represented by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The anthem was played.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, gave the Sermon, and the service included hymns specially composed for the Queen of Great Britain.
At the end of the prayer ceremony, a bugle was sounded, after which a two-minute silence was observed across the country.
After two minutes of silence, the prayer service ended with the singing of the national anthem.
