Karachi, September 13, 2025: Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui addressed a ceremony held today at Liaquat Memorial Library Auditorium, Karachi, marking the inauguration of 100 schools in the slum areas of the city.
The Federal Minister stated:
“We have established two new universities in this province, and my vision is to make education accessible in both rural and urban areas of Sindh. Education is the only pathway that leads nations toward progress and prosperity.”
Highlighting the role of Karachi, he said:
“Karachi has always been the protector of the entire country, and the establishment of schools in its slum areas will open doors of hope for underprivileged children who have long been deprived of education due to the negligence of the provincial government.”
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also criticized the political elite, saying:
“Certain influential groups have remained in politics for decades, yet they have failed to provide education to the underprivileged. Their focus has only been on prolonging their political tenure.”
Expressing his gratitude, he added:
“It is indeed an honor for me that this responsibility has been entrusted to me by the Federal Ministry, enabling me to take concrete steps for the education of marginalized children.”
Appealing to the audience, he remarked:
“I request all influential individuals and representatives to take responsibility for at least one school, ensuring its establishment and maintenance, so that we can bring renewed hope to the people of Karachi.”
The ceremony concluded with the announcement that:
“In the next meeting, the initiation of 500 more schools in slum areas will be undertaken
