Nawaid has been a sport lover from his childhood. He has captained his University Badminton team and also played Badminton at National level. He has been the recipient of Gold Medal in 1992. In 2010, he won Open Mixed Double event at Atlanta Open Badminton Championship with his partner, Ruth Manchaca. He has organized several tournaments such as Badminton, Cricket and Field Hockey successfully.
After the inauguration of ICCMC in 2013, he has been contacted and visited by top leaders and officials of International Cricket Council (“ICC”) including Darren Beazley, CEO United States Cricket Association and Tim Anderson, Head of Global Development, ICC.
Nawaid possess a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University in Michigan.
