Bomb blast in Aurakzai district claims 31 lives

At least 31people were killed and 35 others injured as a motorbike-borne bomb blast ripped through a Friday Market (Juma Bazar) close to the gate of religious seminary (Madrassa) in Kalaya bazaar Aurakzai tribal district on Friday.

According to the district administration, the bomb was planted on a motorcycle parked near the main gate of Madrassa, Juamma market.

The emergency has been declared in the hospitals of the district and the injured immediately shifted to the hospital and admitted.

Meanwhile, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mehmood Khan have strongly condemned the bomb blast at Kallaya bazaar, Aurakzai.

In his messages, the Governor and Chief Minster said targeting the innocent people was inhumane act.

They also offered Fateh for the departed souls of the blast and expressed profound grief and sorrow with their families. They also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
