The meeting focused on enhancing efficiency, transparency, and convenience in the disbursement mechanism for BISP beneficiaries, with particular emphasis on introducing interoperability that would allow beneficiaries to choose their preferred bank.

Both sides also agreed on strengthening service delivery and improving accessibility for low-income households under the programme.

Discussions further included the expansion of the Benazir Hunarmand Programme, with plans to utilize the Alfa Mall platform to create skill-based income opportunities for beneficiaries, enabling them to improve household earnings through digital and vocational channels.

Officials also reviewed broader measures aimed at improving the security and transparency of the payment system, ensuring better facilitation for beneficiaries across the country.
