Syed Faisal Ali Sabzwari, Chairperson Senate Standing Committee on Industries and Production said the Automobile Sector needs more improvement. The Committee visited Toyota Indus Motors Company, Lucky Motors Company, KIA Motors Company, Samsung Manufacturing Company and Export Processing Zone Authority Karachi on November, 30, 2021.
The Committee assured their full support to Auto Companies for betterment.
In the Briefing of Indus Motors Company (IMC) Ali Asgher Jamali, Vice Chairman Shinji Yangi and Manager Faisal Meghani, informed the committee that the company was purchasing auto parts of 25 crores daily. IMC is on the top 07 list globally, participating in the growth of Pakistan by paying billions of rupees tax.
Mr. Asif Rizvi, Chief executive, of Lucky Motors Company in his briefing said, KIA motors and Samsung Mobile which are the parts of Lucky Motors Company have expanded their work, and the company will increase its capacity for producing auto parts locally.
Mr. Umer, Director Samsung Pakistan informed that Samsung is at first number globally. Mobile production of Mobiles locally will strengthen the economy of the country.
Dr. Saifuddin Junejo, Chairman Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA) in his briefing informed that, the Authority has exported 292.160 million US dollars in July & October this year; contributed 12 million US dollars to FBR account as a tax.
Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari, Chairperson presided over the meetings, Senator Saifullah Sarwar Niazi, Senator Fida Muhammad, Senator Shaheen Khalid Butt and Senator Atta ur Rehman were also present.
