Karachi: The Akhuwat Foundation held its annual dinner at the Governor House Sindh, attended by prominent personalities from various sectors of society. The non-profit organization provides interest-free loans to help underprivileged individuals become self-reliant. The event aimed to announce pledges for the new year and raise additional funds for the foundation’s welfare initiatives.

Founder and CEO Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib highlighted Akhuwat’s 25-year journey of empowering thousands of families through dignified employment opportunities. Danish Aman, Head of the Council of Patrons, emphasized the foundation’s social impact and urged philanthropists to actively support its mission.
Governor Sindh’s Advisor Tariq Mustafa also praised the foundation’s work, noting its critical role in helping people stand on their own feet. The event included special prayers for the victims of the Gul Plaza tragedy and proposals to further empower individuals affected by such incidents.
Attendees included actors, industrialists, bureaucrats, journalists, and other notable figures, and the evening concluded with a formal dinner.
