This second mandate constitutes, on the part of the Member States, a unanimous recognition for your leadership and your dedication to the causes of Humanity which you have carried with an exemplary abnegation and commitment underlines the Sovereign. The Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) also sees in it the fruit of the audacious reforms that you have tirelessly carried out for four years in the main fields of action of the UN: the Action Initiative for the Maintenance of Peace, the reorganization of the Secretariat, the reform of the peace and security architecture of the United Nations, the fight against hate speech and the establishment of budgetary procedures aimed at ensuring the financial sustainability of the Organization.
The Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) took this opportunity to pay tribute to the important efforts that Mr. Antonio Guterres has provided since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has been a real test for the resilience of the United Nations and the multilateral system. At a time when a deeply divided world faces numerous conflicts, COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, human rights, development, migration, and humanitarian crises, growing impact of climate change, and a pandemic still ravaging through the globe. United Nations deserves his leadership, pragmatism strengths, and strategy.
For your second term in office, I would like to assure you of the full and active support of the Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony ICPH, which will continue to play the active role which it deserves at the regional and international levels in favor of peace, development, and dialogue between cultures and countries, Civilizations. That the Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) will spare no effort to support the Secretary-General of the United Nations in the implementation of reforms and priority projects and to contribute to the advent of a more proactive and effective multilateralism, in the service of the values of freedom, justice, solidarity, tolerance, and coexistence between peoples.
