KARACHI – Ambassador at Large for Global Peace, Human Rights Imam Allama Muhammad Ahsan Siddiqui Chairman, Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) on Friday has congratulated the nation all the Pakistanis in the beloved and around the world on the occasion of Independence Day. We reiterate our resolve to remain steadfast on the principles of freedom of the homeland, the dignity of the nation.
In his message to the nation, he said that Pakistan is our identity. Countless people gave their blood to kindle the light of freedom and millions had to migrate for this purpose. Our elders sacrificed their present for our future. Independence Day is a time to pay homage to our founding fathers and those who sacrificed everything in creating Pakistan. Today we remember our forefathers and pay our gratitude to them for making extraordinary sacrifices to give us an identity. By the grace of Almighty Allah and the struggle and sacrifices of our forefathers, today we are taking a breath in a free atmosphere. We are lucky that we opened our eyes in a free and sovereign country.
The Chairman ICPH said that the goal of achieving freedom was to establish a state where teachings of the Holy Quran and practices of the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH were implemented. Allama Ahsan Siddiqui said that the nation should make it clear that if we want to make Pakistan a great country, then we will have to follow the Quaid-i-Azam three principles, unity, faith, and discipline, and vow to fight to defend our rights enshrined in our constitution. He said Pakistan was a gift to the nation from Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who had said no power on earth could undo Pakistan. Pakistan was a living miracle of Quaid-i-Azam’s political genius and his rock-like determination. We must commit to staying on track to achieve the goal of peace and prosperity for Pakistan, defeating detractors filled with messages of hate and intolerance.
