Tondojam : Under the auspices of Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam and in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad, the All Pakistan Inter-University Male and Female Weightlifting Championship continued with great enthusiasm and determination on its second day.
In the female competitions of the second day, the 45-kilogram category witnessed intense competition, Aisha Butt from Punjab University Lahore showcased remarkable strength and skill, securing the first position and clinching the gold medal, following closely, Amna Chaudhry from the University of Lahore displayed exceptional talent and capability, securing the second position and winning the silver medal, Khansa Anjum from Lahore College for Women University demonstrated steadfastness, securing the third position and got the bronze medal.
In the 49-kilogram category, the University of Management and Technology Lahore’s Khadija demonstrated outstanding performance, securing the first position and claiming the gold medal. Tayyaba from Punjab University exhibited commendable strength and technique, securing the second position and winning the silver medal. Aisha Tanveer, also representing Punjab University, showcased her talent securing the third position and winning the bronze medal, Meanwhile, the series of male and female competitions continued.
On this occasion, Director of Sports Anwar Hassan Khanzada, Shaukat Ali Sangi, Muhammad Umar Dasti, along with a large number of professors and students, were present to provide encouragement and support to the athletes. The competition will continue on Sunday.
