In a statement published in the print media, Mr. Siddiqui alleged embezzlement and defalcation by custom agents in their supposed discounts, presenting baseless accusations against an integral sector of the trade industry.

The exorbitant charges for Terminal Handling Charges (THC), container detention, and undisclosed fees have plagued the entire trade sector for an extended period. Of particular concern is the repetition of similar charges by Terminal Operators, compounding the financial strain on importers and exporters.
