Karachi, Akhuwat, Pakistan’s pioneering Islamic microfinance institution, hosted a successful Iftar Dinner at Marina Club, DHA, Karachi. The event, marked by spiritual unity and social responsibility, saw the participation of esteemed guests from various walks of life.
Dr. Amjad Saqib, Founder & Chairman of Akhuwat, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Pakistan’s National Anthem.

Akhuwat’s impactful work was showcased through inspiring success stories of beneficiaries of Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance and students of Akhuwat’s Girls and Boys colleges.
In his address, Dr. Amjad Saqib highlighted Akhuwat’s mission to uplift Pakistan’s underprivileged, regardless of location. Akhuwat has disbursed over PKR 410 billion with a remarkable 99.98% repayment rate. Besides microfinance, Akhuwat provides free quality education with boarding & lodging at its colleges in Chakwal (Girls) and Kasur (Boys).
Mr. Danish Aman (Chief Patron of Akhuwat Council of Patron- Karachi delivered the vote of thanks.
The event attracted civil society leaders, businesspeople, bureaucrats, politicians, bankers, media, and Akhuwat donors. It concluded with Iftar dinner and Maghrib prayer.
