Showbiz Desk: Hollywood actress Gal Gadot will play the role of the Evil Queen in Disney’s 4th coming live-action version of Snow White during D23 Expo on Friday, which took place at the Anaheim Convention Center.
At D23 Expo held in California, Wonder Woman star revealed that Rachel Zegler will play the iconic Disney princess role of Snow White in this film.
Speaking on the occasion, Death on the Nile star Gal Gadot said that the role of the evil queen is very different than what I had done before and that she is used to playing the other end of where the heart should be.
Despite typically playing a heroine, Gadot said it was ‘delightful’ to have the opportunity to portray the iconic villain. Getting under her skin was so delightful, making sure to add that the Evil Queen is far from her real-life persona, she added.
In 2016 began the Development of the live-action adaptation of Snow White, and Marc Webb agreed to direct the feature three years later.
Meanwhile, in June 2021, Gadot and Zegler were announced as the movie’s two leads. In November, Greta Gerwig signed on to co-write the feature’s screenplay. Including cast Andrew Burnap and Martin Klebba, who will portray Grumpy.
Due to the Coronavirus, the work on the film was put on hold since it started last spring. This new version of Disney Snow White will be released in 2024.
