KARACHI – Abdullah Qureshi, one of Pakistan’s newly celebrated singers, has released a tribute cover of ‘Ilaahi Teri Chokhat Par’, lyrical poetry praising the Almighty, to commemorate one of Pakistan’s most famous icons, Junaid Jamshed.
For the past few years, Abdullah Qureshi has religiously been releasing a Hamd every year during Ramzan to honor the blessed month. Last year, he did a remake of ‘Wohi Khuda Hai’ by the legend Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, while this time his tribute is for Junaid Jamshed.
The video of ‘Ilaahi Teri Chokhat Par’ has been released online on YouTube and various social media platforms. It is a simple, yet a deep video directed by Saad Hashmi and produced by Musa Javaid. The recitation itself is a soulful accolade for the love and praise of the Almighty that he feels in his heart. Abdullah Qureshi has recited this Hamd with fervor, to reconnect with his existence, in a gesture to attain a higher level of spirituality.
