A MOU signed between Pakistan Tanners Association and Sindh Emergency Rescue Service 1122.

Karachi (Staff Reporter) A memorandum of understanding was signed between Pakistan Tanners Association and Sindh Emergency Rescue Service 1122. The memorandum was signed by PTA Chairman Danish Aman and Sindh Emergency Rescue Service 1122 Director General Dr. Abid Sheikh. The MOU aims to enhance workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and disaster management in the leather and tanning industry.Officials of PTA and officials of Sindh Emergency Rescue Service were also present on the occasion of the Occasion. On this occasion, Chairman of Pakistan Tanners Association Danish Aman said that providing protection to the laborers of leather and tanning industry is our first priority.
To improve health and safety standards and to deal with emergency situations, many steps are being taken by signing an MoU with Sindh Emergency Rescue Service 1122 to provide full training to lakhs of laborers associated with the leather and tanning sector in dealing with emergency situations. will be done while the basic principles of health will also be implemented. He said that workers play an important role in the development of any industry or industry, who put their blood and sweat in leading the institutions on the path of development, therefore their health and life protection is very important.
On this occasion, Sindh Emergency Rescue Service 1122 Director General Dr. Abid Sheikh said
Emergency Response Preparedness: Under this agreement, Rescue 1122 will conduct regular training sessions and simulations to prepare tannery workers for emergency situations, including fires, chemical spills, and other industrial accidents.He said Safety Audits and Drills: Rescue 1122 will collaborate with PTA to conduct safety audits at tannery facilities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and readiness for any crisis. Regular mock drills will also be carried out to enhance the preparedness of workers and management. Dr. Abid Sheikh said
Public Awareness and Training Campaigns: The MoU will focus on raising awareness about health and safety measures among tannery workers. Rescue 1122 will provide first aid training, fire safety education, and disaster response techniques to help workers and management effectively handle emergencies.
He said Resource Sharing and Coordination: The agreement will foster improved coordination between the two parties in terms of resource allocation, such as the provision of emergency equipment, personnel deployment, and communication channels in the event of a crisis.
