Gwadar : A delegation of All Gwadar Shipping Clearing Agents Association under the leadership of its President Abdul Rahim Zafar left for Islamabad along with Association General Secretary Engr. Hameed Baloch and a prominent member Mr. Faisal Dashti.
The aim of this delegation try to meet the caretaker Prime Minister and other port concerns officials, try to convince them for the operations of Gwadar Port on permanent basis. This will create jobs for the local Labourers, Transporters and Shipping Clearing Agents. Moreover, this port will become an effective and big source of REVENUE for the Federal Government and Chinese Port Handlers (COPHC).
Gwadar Port is not Congested like KPT and Qasim Ports. Moreover, there is no warpage demurrage and storage charges at Gwadar Port, while all these charges are levied at Karachi both the ports.
This delegation also requests the Federal Government to bring all Federal Government Consignments (Import Export) through Gwadar Port, especially present expected Import of one Million Ton WHEAT and 2 lac Ton Urea recently approved by Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).
Gwadar Port is a priceless asset of Federal Government, should not be left inactive and ruin.
