Showbiz Desk: American supermodel Bella Hadid has paid tribute to her auntie Ghada on Instagram, who died last week, to pay homage to her. Bella posted throwback photos of her auntie with a heartfelt note.
She wrote, “Aunt Ghada was born in 1944 in the Palestinian city of Nazareth. She was the eldest child of the Hadid family.”
She added that “Auntie, her father, and the whole family had been refugees in three different continents before settling in the United States.”
Bella Hadid wrote: “Auntie Ghada was beyond intelligence. She had multiple degrees, including communications, business, and finance. She was the first female Vice President at one of the largest banks in the capital. She made a career in the real estate business (Just like my father).”
Further, she added “She was a Palestinian female pioneer and she broke barriers professionally, personally and culturally. She was kind, incredibly smart, loving, determined, strong, and a complete badass. She was the head of the family and did everything she could for her 7 younger siblings to have a better life as Palestinian refugees in America.”
In the end, Bella wrote “We will miss her so much, but I know that we, Lina, and Glenny, will continue to make her so proud and her legacy will live on forever. I feel so lucky to come after so many strong Palestinian women. Determination is in our blood. I love you, auntie Ghada. Allah Yerhamha (Rest in Heaven).”
