Karachi; it was known as a city of lights, as it was bright and glittering and was the center of trade and economic activities. The roads were washed everyday and the lights were everywhere to light every place, this used to make people mad. But now Karachi is totally opposite of what we heard and have seen.
Now Karachi is full of problems; service problem is the most severe problem of the day, the roads are usually blocked because of shocks average lines.
These lines were meant for a small group of people’s need but with the increasing population, they obviously prove to be insufficient. The government solved this savage problem and the result is quite disappointing because the line which is fixed today will again shock you after few days. And therefore, the dirty water is seen standing everywhere and causes several diseases.
Another severe problem is a shortage of drinking water; as it is the basic need. From a long time, Karachi is suffering with shortage of water and people are left on the mercy of time because the connections. It is mostly not on time and is it is on time then the load shedding spoils it. The most pathetic thing is that sometimes brine water mixes with the drinking water and spoils the stored water of the people.
The problems are not over at this stage, load shading is the next one. The city of lights is now called the city of darkness because of the unannounced and constant power failure hits everyone equally. Whether they are hospitals, factories, institutions etc. I know we have the option of generators and some other things, but not everyone is having the in their houses or workplaces.
We can see all these problems in Karachi and people are suffering and looking for a person to step forward to solve these problems.
