SIUT and Santex Launch Campaign to Reach One Million Women with Breast Cancer Awareness

SIUT and Santex launch a campaign to promote breast cancer awareness and early detection among women.
The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) and Santex Products (Pvt.) Limited have launched a breast cancer awareness campaign.
The three-month campaign aims to reach one million women with information about breast cancer and early detection.
The initiative will run from October to December 2026. It will promote breast self-examination and timely medical attention.
It will also provide women with credible and accessible health information.
Breast Cancer Awareness Through Everyday Products
As part of the campaign, Santex will place awareness inserts inside its sanitary napkin packs.
The inserts will carry a QR code. Women can scan it to watch an educational breast self-check video developed by SIUT.
The campaign also encourages women to include breast self-examination in their monthly routine.

According to the campaign guidance, women should conduct the check around three to four days after their menstrual cycle ends.
In this way, the initiative aims to bring health information into women’s everyday lives.
SIUT and Santex Join Healthcare Efforts
The MoU was signed by Dr Lamiya Rizvi, Trustee of SIUT Trust, and Feroz Mujtaba Rahman, Director Operations at Santex Products.
The partnership combines SIUT’s medical expertise with Santex’s consumer reach.
SIUT is committed to providing free quality healthcare with dignity. Meanwhile, Santex will help take the awareness message directly to women through its products.
As a result, the campaign seeks to make breast cancer information easier to access.
Campaign Focuses on Early Detection
Dr Lamiya Rizvi said the goal of reaching one million women reflects SIUT’s commitment to community awareness.
She said credible health information should reach people beyond hospitals and healthcare settings.
“Awareness and timely attention can play an important role in encouraging women to seek medical advice when needed,” she said.
Furthermore, the campaign aims to encourage women to pay closer attention to their breast health.
The partnership uses an everyday consumer product to deliver an important health message. Therefore, it seeks to expand awareness across communities.
