Security Forces Foil Terror Attack on Government Sites in Mashkel

Security forces foiled an alleged terror attack targeting government installations in Mashkel after launching a swift operation against armed attackers, according to local authorities.

The Assistant Commissioner of Mashkel said armed individuals attempted to target police facilities, a Customs warehouse and other government installations in the area.

Authorities responded after assessing the seriousness of the situation.

Frontier Corps launches immediate response

Frontier Corps Balochistan launched an immediate operation against the attackers, the Assistant Commissioner said.

Security forces responded quickly and prevented the armed individuals from causing further damage to government facilities.

According to the official, the attackers failed to continue their resistance following the security forces’ response.

They later fled the area.

Weapons and vehicles seized

Security forces seized weapons, vehicles and motorcycles that the attackers left behind during their escape.

The Assistant Commissioner said the armed individuals also abandoned a large quantity of ammunition at the scene.

Authorities recovered the items following the operation.

Officials said the timely response helped prevent an attack on several important government installations in Mashkel.
