KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant decline, mirroring the downtrend in global markets. As per the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold fell by Rs5,900 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs359,000.
The price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs5,058, closing at Rs307,784 by the end of Thursday’s trading session.
This sharp decrease follows a notable surge on Wednesday when gold prices had risen by Rs3,700 per tola to reach Rs364,900. The latest drop reflects a shift in market dynamics, influenced by global price movements.
On the international front, gold prices also dipped, with APGJSA reporting the global rate at $3,363 per ounce, including a $20 premium—a decrease of $61 compared to the previous day.
Silver prices in Pakistan followed suit, with a Rs24 decline per tola, bringing the rate down to Rs4,057.
