Sadiqabad, Punjab — In a vital step toward improving mobility and restoring dignity for patients in public hospitals, Dawood Global Foundation (DGF), in partnership with Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), has successfully distributed 55 wheelchairs to government healthcare facilities across Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan District, Punjab.
A special wheelchair distribution ceremony was held at THQ Hospital, Sadiqabad, attended by senior representatives from DGF and OGDCL, as well as hospital officials and medical superintendents from the region. The wheelchairs, distributed under DGF’s national initiative to provide 10,000 wheelchairs across Pakistan, aim to enhance comfort, care, and mobility for individuals with disabilities and limited mobility.
Mr. Shahid Ch. represented Dawood Global Foundation at the event, while Mr. Abdul Rahim, Social Welfare Officer from OGDCL Multan, represented OGDCL. Dr. Hafiz Babar Ali, Medical superintendent at THQ Hospital Sadiqabad, also participated, highlighting the strong collaboration between public and private sector partners working to uplift healthcare in underserved areas.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Shahid Ch. reiterated DGF’s commitment to healthcare accessibility and the importance of such equipment in restoring patients’ independence and dignity.
Mr. Abdul Rahim expressed appreciation for the partnership and emphasized OGDCL’s continued dedication to corporate social responsibility, particularly in strengthening healthcare in rural and remote regions.
