Karachi (May-12-2025) The Chairman of National Business Group Pakistan, the President of the Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum, the President of All Karachi Industrial Alliance, the Chairman of the FPCCI Advisory Board, and the President and former provincial minister, Mian Zahid Hussain, said on Monday that India’s humiliating defeat stems from the strategic miscalculations of Modi and his extremist team.
He said that treating Pakistan as a weak state proved to be the downfall of the BJP, exposing their arrogance, miscalculations, and failure in understanding regional realities.

Mian Zahid Hussain stressed the importance of Pakistan’s vigilance in the face of Modi’s political desperation. He warned that Modi and his party, now politically cornered, may resort to any action to restore their credibility. This makes it imperative for Pakistan to remain vigilant and prepared for any potential threat.

Talking to the business community, the veteran business leader said there is mounting internal pressure on the Indian government, both from the opposition and the public, questioning the ceasefire decision.

He warned that India may attempt to reframe its defeat as a strategic success, even at the cost of violating the ceasefire agreement.

The business leader added that Modi’s repeated assumption of India being invincible and Pakistan as vulnerable was a serious misjudgment. The destruction of expensive aircraft, airfields, airstrips, ammunition depots, and especially the loss of billions of dollars’ worth of Russian defence systems has not only weakened India’s military but also damaged its global reputation.

Mian Zahid Hussain said that those international powers that once encouraged Indian aggression are helping Modi salvage his political future.
In contrast, Pakistan’s armed forces have brought immense pride to the nation through a historic victory, ensuring national security and enhancing Pakistan’s stature worldwide.

Despite its battlefield success, Mian Zahid Hussain praised Pakistan for demonstrating restraint and responsibility, calling this approach “commendable and mature.” He emphasized that Pakistan did not initiate the conflict but responded defensively.

He warned that if India dares to commit fresh aggression, the response will be even more forceful. Highlighting India’s role as the aggressor, he pointed out that India started water aggression and initiated missile attacks targeting civilian areas. It is unacceptable for India to attack at will and then demand a ceasefire on its terms, he said. Pakistan is defending itself and has every right to do so, he underlined.

Mian Zahid Hussain noted that if Pakistan wisely plays its diplomatic and strategic cards, it will gain significantly in the regional and international arena. He emphasized that the entire nation is united, which is our greatest strength and a source of pride for all Pakistanis.

Mian Zahid also praised Pakistan’s diplomatic success, stating that friendly countries such as China, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia supported Pakistan’s position and condemned Indian aggression. This is a moral victory for Pakistan.
While acknowledging that war can strain the economy, he noted that Pakistan’s effective economic strategy has helped manage the situation.

He urged the business community to exploit the country’s stability by boosting investment.
