Audio Exposes Indian Army Officer’s Role in Recruiting Terrorists for Attacks in Pakistan: DG ISPR

In a recent press briefing, Pakistan Army’s spokesperson, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, presented concrete evidence of India’s alleged involvement in orchestrating terrorist activities inside Pakistan, as reported by ARY News.

According to DG ISPR, Indian operatives have been directing terrorist operations across the border. On April 25, Pakistani security forces apprehended a man named Abdul Majeed near the Jhelum bus stand. He was reportedly trained by India and was caught in possession of a drone, an improvised explosive device (IED), and Rs. 25,000. A subsequent raid at his residence uncovered another Indian-made drone and an additional Rs. 1 million in cash.

Majeed’s mobile phone contained conversations with Indian contacts, and forensic analysis is ongoing. His primary handler was identified as Subedar Sukhwinder, an Indian Army officer who allegedly provided him with bomb-making guidance and attack locations. Audio recordings released during the briefing captured Indian handlers instructing terrorists to cause mass casualties, with one saying, “We want a large number of dead bodies.”

DG ISPR further revealed that Majeed was involved in 47 terror incidents and had ties with another Indian officer, Major Sandeep, who supplied him with explosives via drones and transferred Rs. 180,000 in multiple transactions after a successful attack on a military vehicle that injured three soldiers.

In another failed mission, a drone loaded with explosives malfunctioned and was retrieved from Majeed’s home. In a separate incident, local children discovered unattended bags containing five IEDs at a location Majeed couldn’t reach due to army presence. Following this, Major Sandeep allegedly tipped off Indian media, which then published misleading reports blaming Pakistan for supposed militant activity along the LoC.

DG ISPR accused India of using its media to cover up its direct support for terrorism, stating that Indian Army officers had instructed attacks from Balochistan to Lahore, targeting both military and civilian populations.

He concluded by highlighting a recent Pakistan Army operation that thwarted a TTP infiltration attempt, resulting in the killing of 71 militants. He said the collected evidence leaves no doubt about India’s state-sponsored terrorism within Pakistan.
