Karachi : Chairman Maqbool A. Malik of the All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) and Vice Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Tariq conveyed his gratitude to the Director of Reforms and Automation for swiftly resolving a system error that occurred on August 25th, 2023. The error pertained to a message indicating that a task had been “assigned to cashier” as despite the payment of custom duty, online system was giving error as if the duty is still not paid. Thanks to the director’s prompt response, the system was restored on the same day, the issue was reported.
In addition to Chairman Maqbool A. Malik and Vice Chairman Sheikh Muhmmad Tariq acknowledgment, Custom Agents and importers from across Pakistan expressed their appreciation for the APCAA Executive Committee’s (EC) initiatives in the year 2023. A significant achievement highlighted was the comprehensive upgrade of the APCAA website. The enhanced website now features a wide range of high-quality capabilities; such as, providing in-depth information, offering online assistance and delivering real-time updates on fluctuating currency exchange rates.
This upgraded functionality greatly benefits importers by furnishing them with a valuable tool to instantly calculate custom duties based on the ever-changing currency exchange rates.
