Islamabad: In a powerful recognition of corporate commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development, as many as 70 leading companies and organisations from the public and private sectors, including prominent multinational firms, will be honoured with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards for their outstanding contributions to supporting disadvantaged communities and promoting environmental protection across Pakistan. These prestigious awards will be presented at the 18th Annual CSR Summit, organised by the National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH), scheduled to take place on February 12 at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The summit will serve as a major national platform to highlight the role of Pakistan’s corporate sector in driving sustainability, philanthropy, and social development initiatives aimed at uplifting underserved segments of society. Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, will attend the ceremony as the chief guest, while Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Imran Ahmad Shah, will grace the occasion as the guest of honour. Both dignitaries will jointly distribute the CSR Awards among the winning organisations in recognition of their impactful and compassionate efforts. The summit will feature an impressive lineup of distinguished speakers and thought leaders from diverse sectors who will share insights on sustainability, social investment, and corporate engagement in community welfare. Notable speakers include former Chief of the Naval Staff and Chairman of Moawin Foundation Admiral (Retd) Asif Sandila; Senator Sherry Rehman; Executive Director of SECP Musarat Jabeen; GM CSR Thar Foundation Farhan Ansari; renowned transplant hepatologist and medical influencer Dr Affan Qaiser; CEO of Fruit of Sustainability Sarim Mehmood; Managing Director of Sindh Solid Waste Management Board Tariq Ali Nizamani; General Manager Public Affairs at Pak Arab Refinery Sharon Dias; CEO of Bionics Anas Niaz; Secretary of the National Commission on the Status of Women Humaira Zia Mufti; social media influencer Dr Nazish Affan; Ayesha Javed representing Pakistan Petroleum Limited; and leadership trainer and motivational speaker Umair Jaliawala. Speaking on the significance of the event, NFEH President Muhammad Naeem Qureshi stated that the CSR Summit has consistently served as a vital national forum that brings together leading corporate leaders, development professionals, and social sector representatives under one roof to discuss and promote impactful sustainability initiatives. He emphasised that the primary objective of the summit is to foster a collaborative and enabling environment where government institutions, corporate organisations, NGOs, and philanthropic bodies can combine their resources and expertise to accelerate efforts for the uplift of disadvantaged communities.
