Mirpurkhas: 6th edition of Sindh College Games 2024 concluded with the victory of Karachi in the presence of thousands of students of government colleges in a colorful closing ceremony here at Mirpurkhas. According to Member Central and Media Committee and Chief Director Physical Education, Alibaba Government Boys Degree College Kotri Perwaiz Ahmed Sheikh, Karachi scored a total of 1550 points, Shaheed Benazirabad region got the second position with 1000 points, Sukkur region got the third position with 610 points, while Hyderabad region got the fourth position with 550 points, Larkana region got the fifth position with 205 points and Mirpurkhas stood on sixth position.
Secretary College Education Department Sadaf Anees Sheikh was the chief guest of the closing ceremony of the 6th Sindh College Games organized by College Education Department at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Sports Complex Mirpurkhas while Additional Commissioner Mirpurkhas Sonu Khan, Mayor Mirpurkhas Abdul Rauf Ghori, Director General Colleges Sindh Prof.Syed Saleh Abbas Rizvi including all Regional Directors were present as guests.
Regional Director Colleges Mirpurkhas Prof. Mirchand Oad and his team showed excellent hospitality and presented traditional gifts to the special guests. Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Guest Sadaf Anees Sheikh said that I was very happy to see the talent of the children of government colleges. In the closing ceremony of the biggest mega event of Sindh province more than 100 teams of male and female students from all the regions were present.
Earlier, the finals of athletics, hockey, football and badminton were organized in the sports complex, while 22 teams of male and female students reached the finals in 11 games and for the first time, Khokho and wanjhwati cultural games were held at the entire Sindh while the Finals hosted by Hyderabad in great manner and hospitality. In the end, the chief guest distributed trophies, medals and certificates to the winners and runners-up teams, while honorary shields and certificates were distributed to the central and regional organizing committee members, while Karachi was given the general winning shield.
