Consul General of China in Karachi,Wang Yu, spoke on the historic friendship bond between his country and Pakistan.
China is a strategic partner of Pakistan, he re-affirmed. He said China was supporting Pakistan to overcome energy shortage along with development and upgradation of infrastructure, and in fast industrial growth.
Chinese government and its private sector had made huge investment, and more investment was expected in different sectors of Pakistan.
He said Chinese Consulate in Karachi was trying to promote people-to-people contact.
He mentioned that a large number of Pakistani students were studying
in different universities of China. More than 100 were learning Chinese language there, who on their return to Pakistan would be mater Chinese language teachers.
He said China and Pakistan had strong partnership in various sectors — social, economic and defence- since long.
By working together, China and Pakistan could bring peace, security and economic prosperity in the region.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah also highlighted the strong and trusted friendship of Pakistan and China.
They also spoke on the importance of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and described it as a strategic project for the region.
The Chief Minister said he had created a special force for the security of CPEC.
They both assured full cooperation, behalf of Sindh government, in successful execution of CPEC.
