KARACHI – 4th International Conference on Experiential Learning ICEL-2019 was held at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), on November 16-17, 2019. Seven departments of IoBM, Electrical Engineering and Engineering Management, Business Management, Media, Communications and Languages, Environment and Engineering Management, Education and MHM jointly organized this conference and made it a big success. International speakers from different countries both from Industry and academia were invited.
Both national and international speakers presented their research papers, thoughts, and visions linked to the theme of the ICEL. The purpose of the conference was to prepare the new engineers for Entrepreneurial Engineering. The International Conference on Experiential Learning served as a means to facilitate researchers and entrepreneurs.
Invited Guest Speakers at the engineering track in the Conference, were Professor Dr. Bhawani Shankar, former Dean of Electrical, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan. Dr. Muhammad Asim, serving Wing Cdr at PAC Kamra. Dr. Nuzhat Khan, Director General National Institute of Oceanography (NIO). Dr. Humayun Qureshi, Consultant/Entrepreneur Datalog. Dr. Imtiaz Hussain Kalwar, Associate Professor, from DHA Suffa. Dr. Irfan Ahmed, Associate Professor, NED University. Dr. Muhammad Imran Aslam, Associate Professor, NED University. Dr. Muhammad Ibrar-ul-Haq, Assosiate Professor Sir Syed University.
On Day-1, after the inaugural session the conference for the Engineering Track was held in the Shahjehan S. Karim Center of Excellence. The Associate Dean of the College of Engineering and Sciences (CES), Dr. Seema Ansari welcomed Speakers and other guests. Day began with the presentation of Dr. Bhawani Shanker on “Discover Real Experiential Art Mystery (Dream)” Session was followed by four presentations, penal discussion of theme “Preparing the New Engineers for Entrepreneurial Engineering” and shields and certificates distribution to the panelists and guest speakers.
Day-2 began with the welcome address of Associate Dean of CES. Session followed by demonstrations of projects made by the students of Electrical engineering, nine presentations and shields and certificates distribution to presenters and . The session was of particular interest to students and other audience. Overall the conference was very successful and appreciated by all. The Electrical Engineering. Dept. at IoBM looks forward to the next ICEL-2020 conference at IoBM.
