Karachi: Under the auspices of Sakinan?e?Shahar?e?Quaid Literary Organization, the 28th International Mushaira will be held on February 25 at Expo Center Karachi, which will be presided over by Prof. Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, while Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori will be the Chief Guest.
These views were expressed by the organizer of the Mushaira, Chief Coordinator Mahmood Ahmed Khan, along with Prof. Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui while holding a press conference at the Karachi Press Club.
On this occasion, other members of the Mushaira Committee include, Farhan-ur-Rehman, Prof. Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi, Tanveer Ahmed, Muzamil Athar, Khalid Jameel Shamsi, Jamal Azhar were also present.
Mahmood Ahmad Khan said that every year International Mushaira is organized in the last week of March but due to the start of Ramadan in March this year, the mushaira is being organized a month earlier for which preparations have been going on for the past two months.
Prominent poets from different cities of Pakistan and many other countries will participate in the 28th International Mushaira includes; Dr. Sabahat Asim Wasti (UAE), Rehana Qamar (USA), Naheed Virk (USA), Atif Tauqeer (Germany) among the participating poets from across the country are Iftikhar Arif, Khursheed Rizvi, Attaul Haq Qasmi, Abbas Tabish, Tishkeel Jazeb, Hamida Shaheen, Shaukat Nahi, Rahman Faris, Wasi Shah, Atbaf Abrak, Riaz Nadeem Niazi, Prof. Ghulam Mustafa Tabasim, Ammar Iqbal, Prof. Sahar Ansari, Anwar Shibat, Mahmood Sham, Dr. Shadab Ehsani, Khawaja Razi Haider, Nasira Zuberi, Muzammil Athar, Iqbal Khawar, Fazil Jamili, Tatsam Siddiqui, Pirzada Salman, Abbas Mumtaz Qamar Rizvi, Dr. Salman Sarwat, Danish Hayat, Zafar Bhopali, Ahmed Safi and others are included while the duties of the host are Iqbal Pirzada, Ambareen Haseeb Ambar, Vijaya Thani, Sharif Khan will perform.
There is no ticket for sale of this Mushaira and including parking facility is free. Last year more than 25 thousand people participated in this Mushaira. We hoped that people participated will be more than last year.
