Karachi: Dawood Global Foundation held the 14th LADIESFUND Women’s Awards for Pakistan 2023 at Sindh Governor House, Karachi, honouring the nation’s most distinguished and significant women of the year, and aligning Pakistani women and businesses to UN Sustainable Development Goals.
“These awards are about highlight the best of Pakistani women, and also a gathering of the most dynamic and enterprising minds,” said Dawood Global Foundation President Tara Uzra Dawood, “We cannot thank enough the Governor Sindh, State Bank Governor and incredible women and men who attend and make these events so alchemic and significant for our nation. Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori was Chief Guest, speaking about the government’s commitment to women.

An important step taken in that direction is the launch of the landmark Gender Mainstreaming Policy, called Banking on Equality, in 2021,” said State Bank Governor Jameel Ahmad, “I am also pleased to note that the SBP has partnered with the LADIESFUND in the past and going forward, we are open to collaborate further with the LADIESFUND and other stakeholders to leverage their networks to promoting women entrepreneurs in Pakistan.”
