Karachi, Pakistan: Health And Nutrition Development Society (HANDS) Pakistan has organized a Fundraising Carnival to support its Flood Rehabilitation Program, which is to establish Model Villages in flood affected districts of the country.
HANDS Model Village has a holistic approach to provide disaster resilient housing, livelihood, health, education, water & sanitation schemes. HANDS approach towards community intervention is collective and an approach to provide basic necessities of life.


While talking to the corporate and philanthropic donors at the evening, HANDS Founding Chairman Prof. Abdul Gaffar Billoo (SI) said “I whole heartedly thank each one of you for being here at this facility of HANDS that operates more than 32 offices across the country and reach more than 7 million people in need every year, all of this would have not been possible without the support of each one of you here”
HANDS Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shaikh Tanveer Ahmed shared HANDS progress for the last three years and HANDS responses to the Pakistan Floods 2022. He mentioned the details of HANDS Flood Rehabilitation plan of rebuilding houses of over 10,000 families with the cost of 4.5 billion pkr. While talking to the guests Dr. Tanveer appreciated the efforts of HANDS district teams that are spread in more than 59 districts of the country. Dr. Tanveer also appraised the philanthropic partners of HANDS for being ready for calls to action by HANDS.


The event was graced by number of social and corporate sector guests along with renowned celebrities from the country who support and believe in HANDS vision to establish 25,000 model communities in the country.
