Karachi: Under the project of saving our sea organised by the Rotary Club of Karachi Roshni, Darakhshan Pakistan, and Roshni Public School, had a very meaningful Roshni Beach Cleaning Drive.
A large number of students of Roshni Public School, Aptech Learning Institute, and citizens participated in the beach cleaning drive at Seaview Beach adjacent to Phase 8, Emaar. A large number of children and citizens collected the garbage strewn on the beach in plastic bags which were transported for safe disposal.
The beach cleaning campaign aimed to raise awareness among children and citizens about marine pollution. During the campaign, children said that a large number of plastic bags were collected from the beach, which is becoming a threat to marine life by going into the sea.
Zubair Baweja of the Rotary Club of Karachi Roshni said that under the Rotary Club of Karachi Roshni, several activities are being organized to raise awareness about environmental protection, especially marine pollution. They are also part of these activities in the beach cleaning campaign that took place yesterday.
Further, he said that one day Maybe one of these children will be working in big organizations and can contribute and understand the importance of keeping our beach clean. Students of Roshni Public School, Aptech Learning Institute, members of the Rotary Club of Karachi Roshni, and citizens also participated in the campaign.
