What happened to Pakistani opener Muhammad Rizwan in the hospital before the semi-finals of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021? The facts came to light in this regard.
Before the T20 World Cup semi-final against Australia, Mohammad Rizwan and PCB Medical Dr. Soomro shared the facts about the ill health of Pakistani wicketkeeper Better.
Mohammad Rizwan said in this regard that I was having difficulty in breathing and my eyes were getting blurred. When I reached the hospital, my breathing had stopped and there was nothing in front of my eyes.
He added that 12 to 13 tests were performed at the hospital.
The Pakistani opener also said that it was said that he would have to stay for a week. I said that I have to play in the semi-finals, to which the doctors said that he had to leave the day of the match.
He said that after spending two nights in ICU, he took a fitness test and gained more confidence.
“When Mohammad Rizwan described his condition, I thought he had a heart attack. At that time, his oxygen level was 70%,” said PCB Medical Head Dr Soomro.
“There was no senior doctor in the hospital. I said it was a high level emergency. Rizwan had inflammation in both the respiratory tract and the esophagus,” he said.
Dr Soomro also said that a very strict medicine was administered, for which permission had been obtained from the ICC. Muhammad Rizwan underwent 20 tests including liver, heart and chest.
He said that a team of 8 medical experts had treated Muhammad Rizwan. I remember Rizwan saying in his sleep, “Allah give me courage to play in the semi-finals”.
