Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a reduction in the prices of petrol, diesel and electricity while also stating that there would be no increase in their prices till the next budget.
Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that they are reducing the price of petrol and diesel by Rs.
The Prime Minister also announced to reduce the price of electricity by Rs 5 per unit while also saying that petrol, diesel and electricity will not be made more expensive till the next budget.
‘Pika has nothing to do with press freedom’
Talking about freedom of press, the Prime Minister said that it is being said that freedom of press is being banned, baseless rumors of freedom of press are being spread.
“Good journalism is an asset to society, criticism informs us,” he added.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that PKA was passed in 2016, it has nothing to do with freedom of press.
The Prime Minister said that a journalist wrote that Imran Khan’s wife had left home. If this is happening with the Prime Minister then think what would happen to the common people.
He said that 94,000 cases are with the FIA.
When a journalist wrote against Nawaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif closed it for 3 days.
“I have seen criticism all my life. After nominating the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, it was said that he was chosen through magic and stars,” he said.
Continuing his speech, he said that if a foreign newspaper had written such a thing, it would have been fined so much that the newspaper would have closed down.
‘The biggest loss in the history of the country was found’
“When the economy recovered in 2018, it was the biggest loss in the country’s history. We came out of this difficult time when Corona came,” he said.
He said Corona also affected some of the world’s best economies.
The Prime Minister said that there was a rumor that huge inflation has come to this government. During the PPP regime from 2008 to 2012, the inflation rate was 13.6 percent.
He also said that in the first term of the PPP, inflation ranged from 71 to 77, 13.9 per cent, while in the second period it was 8.3 per cent and in the third period it was 11.6 per cent.
Regarding the PML-N government, he said that in the first term of PML-N, inflation was 10.7 percent.
The Prime Minister said that in our three and a half years, inflation was 8.5%.
Describing the global scenario, he said that the impact on the supply line has led to inflation all over the world.
He said that the US economy is considered to be the strongest, after 40 years inflation rose to 7.5% while Canada saw the highest inflation in 30 years.
“Tell these two parties. Has the world ever praised their governments?”
The Prime Minister said that the World Health Organization has appreciated Pakistan’s strategy against Corona. Has the past governments ever been praised at the international level?
He added that the World Bank has declared Ehsas program as one of the 4 best programs in the world.
What does the world say about the PTI government? The Economist says that Pakistan is in the top 3 out of 190 countries. Bill Gates asked what steps were taken to control Corona. Bill Gates praised Corona for fighting polio.
The Prime Minister asked the two parties to state whether the world had ever praised their governments.
‘Pakistan wanted independent foreign policy’
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the foreign policy of the country should be for the benefit of his country, foreign policy should not be for the benefit of anyone.
He further said that wrong foreign policy was formulated in the past and since the beginning of politics there was a desire for an independent foreign policy of Pakistan.
He said that an independent nation means a policy which is in the interest of the nation.
Citing the example of the past, he said that Pakistan had nothing to do with US war on terror, we should not have joined US war on terror.
The Prime Minister reiterated that unfortunately that foreign policy was not for the benefit of Pakistanis, 80,000 Pakistanis lost their lives.
He said that it was a shame that a country was fighting for a country and it was being bombed.
Talking about international politics, he said that the situation in the world is changing rapidly and the effects of the changing situation are also affecting Pakistan.
He said that military dictators want the world to recognize and recognize them.
Citing the recent US war in Afghanistan as an example, he slammed previous governments, saying that 10 drone strikes were carried out under Musharraf and 400 under Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif.
Continuing his speech, the Prime Minister said that these were democratic governments and they should have told the US that children and women were dying, but Asif Zardari said that he did not care about the collateral loss. The American journalist wrote that Zardari said that it does not matter if innocent people die in drone strikes.
‘Our government received the highest remittances in the history of Pakistan’
He announced that BA would provide internship of Rs. 30,000 to the youth and now 8 million families would get Rs. 14,000 instead of Rs. 12,000.
The Prime Minister said that 100% tax exemption has been given to companies and freelancers in IT sector.
He said that our government received the highest remittances in the history of Pakistan, the highest exports in the history of Pakistan, while these exports were less during the rule of these two parties.
He said that our tax collection was more than Rs 6,000 billion, our tax collection was 31 percent higher.
He also said that the four major crops wheat, rice, maize and sugarcane were the highest yields, adding that farmers were paid an extra Rs. 1100 billion whereas earlier the farmers did not get any money.
He said that the top 100 companies earned a profit of Rs. 930 billion. He wanted more big investors to come so that the country could develop.
He said that sales of Pakistani tractors increased by 20%, textile exports were the highest in history, and Rs. 1500 billion came in the construction sector.
‘Pakistan’s social media is stinking’
Talking on social media content, the Prime Minister said that there is a stench on social media in Pakistan, child pornography is coming on social media.
He said that nowhere in the world is such a thing coming on our social media, no other democracy has the courage to do such things.
