Today we introduce you to the Seven Architectural Wonders of the Modern World. The Seven Wonders of the Modern World, voted by a majority of more than 100 million people, are being presented as a World Heritage Site without any ranking.

Taj Mahal, Agra

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in Agra, India. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz. The Taj Mahal is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Its architectural style is a unique blend of Persian, Turkish, Indian, and Islamic architectural elements. In 1983, the Taj Mahal was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. At the same time, it was hailed as one of the finest architectural masterpieces in the world. The Taj Mahal has also been described as a practical and rare example of Islamic architecture in India.

Wall of China, China

About two hundred years before the birth of Jesus, King Chen Shihuang of China expressed his intention to build a wall on the northern border to protect his country from enemy attacks. The wall originated near the Sino-Manchuku border. The wall stretches from Liaotang Bay to the border region of Mongolia and Tibet. It is about fifteen hundred miles long and is 20 to 30 feet high. It is 25 feet wide at the bottom and 12 feet at the top.

El Castillo , Chechen Itza

El Castillo, which means “castle” in Spanish, is also called the Temple of Kukulcan. Located in the Chechen Itza, an archeological site in the Yucatan state of Mexico, this architectural masterpiece is built in the shape of a Mesoamerican-style staircase pyramid. The most important of these is the El Castillo Observatory, which observes the movements of the stars, time, weather, and destiny by observing the sky.

Machu Picchu, Peru

Machu Picchu is located in the Casco region of Peru in South America. It is 2430 meters (7972 feet) above sea level. It is also known as the “City of the Incas.” The sudden disappearance of their civilization is still a mystery. Machu Picchu has 216 stone buildings, connected by stairs.

Statue of Christ the Savior, Rio de Janeiro

Christ the Redeemer is an artistic decorative statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is 30 meters (98 feet) long, excluding its 8 meters (26 feet) high outpost, its arms are 28 meters (92 feet) wide. Of The statue raises its hand of compassion to the citizens of Brazil.

Petra or Batra, Jordan

Petra, declared a World Heritage Site in 1985, was the capital of the Nabataean Empire of King Artas IV. The craftsmen of this civilization developed water technology. He proved his mettle in the construction of complex tunnels and water chambers, which transformed this desolate desert region into an oasis. The 4,000-seat amphitheater and LDair monastery, built of stone carvings, reflect the artistic grandeur of the architects of this civilization.

Roman Colosseum, Rome

The Colosseum is considered to be the hallmark of Rome. The arena was built by the Roman emperor Titus in 80 BC. For 100 days after its inauguration, the Romans performed bloody games, in which slaves were fought and called Gladiators. About 9,000 animals and humans died during this period. The arena has a seating capacity of 50,000. In this arena, a thick layer of sand was laid on the ground so that blood could be absorbed.
