Liberty Bell: Karachi American School receives a life-size replica through the US Mission Pakistan’s “Let Freedom Ring” campaign
KARACHI, October 15, 2026: The US Consulate General in Karachi has presented Karachi American School (KAS) with a life-size replica of the iconic Liberty Bell, giving the historic symbol a permanent home at the school.
The gift serves as a lasting reminder of the ideals of liberty and independence. It forms part of the US Mission Pakistan’s “Let Freedom Ring” campaign, which celebrates the 250th anniversary of American independence.
A Pakistani artist painted the replica as part of the campaign. The artwork highlights freedom through the theme of space exploration and American leadership in the field, reflecting the idea that liberty creates opportunities for discovery, innovation and progress.
Liberty Bell: A Historic Symbol of Freedom
The original Liberty Bell arrived in Philadelphia in 1752 and has since become one of the most widely recognised symbols of American freedom and independence.
Its famous inscription calls on people to “proclaim liberty throughout all the land,” reflecting the enduring significance of freedom as a national ideal.
Through its presentation to Karachi American School, the replica brings this historical symbol into an educational setting, offering students an opportunity to engage with themes of liberty, independence and exploration.
The initiative also highlights cultural engagement between the United States and Pakistan through art, education and shared conversations about freedom and discovery.
