KARACHI: Sindh Assembly Member Dr Fouzia Hameed led a delegation of the All Saddar Alliance of Malls and Associations in a meeting with K-Electric Regional Head Naseem Sheikh on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The delegation raised concerns over power outages in Saddar’s markets during business hours.
The delegation included All Saddar Alliance President Faheem Khan Noori, General Secretary Fayyaz and Adnan Khan, representing the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
During the meeting, the representatives expressed serious concern over electricity disruptions affecting commercial areas. They said load-shedding during business hours creates difficulties for traders and shopkeepers and disrupts routine business activities.
The delegation stressed the need for an immediate solution. It also highlighted the importance of a reliable power supply to keep Saddar’s markets operating smoothly.
K-Electric officials took notice of the concerns and assured the delegation that they would take steps to address the issue and work towards ending the load-shedding affecting the markets.
The All Saddar Alliance expressed hope for a prompt and lasting resolution. It said uninterrupted electricity would help protect business activity and provide relief to the trading community.
The meeting focused on resolving power supply concerns and ensuring that Saddar’s commercial areas can continue their activities with fewer disruptions.
