Taylor Swift announces an expanded edition of The Life of a Showgirl with four new songs.
Taylor Swift has announced an expanded edition of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. Titled The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, the new edition will feature four additional songs.
Swift announced the project on Wednesday. The expanded album will arrive on Friday, September 25, 2026.
The four new songs are “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.” They will bring the album’s tracklist to 16 songs.
Swift said she wrote the new tracks after the remarkable response to The Life of a Showgirl. She traveled to Sweden with longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback to celebrate the album’s success.
The pair originally planned to reflect on the album’s reception. However, they soon returned to the studio and began writing new material. Swift said the new songs came from their gratitude for the support surrounding the album.
Four New Songs
“Patient Zero” was the first of the four tracks that Swift revealed. She announced the song one day before confirming the expanded album.

The remaining tracks are “Cleveland!”, “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.” Apple Music lists all four songs as tracks 13 through 16 on The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.
Swift worked with Martin and Shellback on the original Showgirl album as well. The two songwriters and producers have collaborated with her on several previous projects.
Record-Breaking Showgirl Era
The Life of a Showgirl generated major commercial attention after its release in October 2025. Swift said the album achieved the biggest first week for an album in history.
Its lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” also recorded a historic streaming performance in the United States. According to Luminate data cited by Guinness World Records, the song generated 92.5 million official US streams during its opening week.
Guinness World Records lists the figure as the biggest US streaming week for a song in the post-UGC era.
The new edition gives Swift’s Showgirl era four additional songs as the singer continues to expand the project nearly a year after its original release.
