Dear Editor,
I bring attention to you about a situation we have been facing lately, that is quickly becoming a problem. Delivery riders, as a known fact, have been paid for their work in the way of delivery charges, which is all well and good… until they start taking the rest of the money we give them, expecting returned change.
Tips are a choice, on top of the delivery charges, but if money is taken as a tip without permission, where is the free will? Where tips are concerned, their go-to excuse is that they do not have change and in
some no contact delivery cases, no such excuses are even given.
A few incidents more serious have taken place near me, where riders are demanding for double the delivery charges, even after being paid the included charges.
With such incidents becoming more and more frequent, cash-on delivery-orders are no longer the hassle-free option they once were, but a source of growing concern. I believe many customers, share this
sentiment, and I sincerely hope you will raise awareness so that appropriate action can be taken to address this problem.
