The delegation highlighted regional problems, including deteriorating roads, inadequate sanitation, and challenges related to public welfare.
The delegation included Finance Secretary Affan Abdul Jabbar, Media Coordinator Syed Muhammad Kamran Hasan, Advocate Qazi Rasheed Ahmed, Abdul Majeed Shaikh, and Professor Tariq Bhutto. During the meeting, Muhammad Moiz Khan commended Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi for his efforts to enhance public facilities and form a dedicated team to address citizens’ concerns effectively.
Special mention was made of the recent initiatives spearheaded by Naseem Bhutto under the Commissioner’s directives. These included improving sanitation and addressing road maintenance issues in District Korangi, resulting in noticeable improvements. The delegation stressed the need for decisive action against street vendors and encroachments, which obstruct pedestrian pathways and contribute to waste-related drainage issues.
Discussions also covered challenges faced by the youth, with the delegation proposing the establishment of rehabilitation centers for substance abuse victims to help them reintegrate into society. The Commissioner’s office expressed a commitment to addressing these concerns and expanding initiatives to other districts.
Affan Abdul Jabbar praised the Commissioner and Naseem Bhutto for their proactive approach, presenting a bouquet and acknowledging their contributions. He noted that Syed Hasan Naqvi, as a public representative, prioritizes resolving issues on a grassroots level.
Media Coordinator Syed Muhammad Kamran Hasan emphasized the need for more welfare programs benefiting the citizens directly. He lauded the Commissioner’s recent visits to Korangi, which identified critical issues and led to prompt corrective measures.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Human Rights and Social Reforms Sindh presented Naseem Bhutto with a shield recognizing his services, particularly under the “Welfare Dastarkhwan Program.” The meeting ended on a positive note, with agreements to undertake more projects aimed at public welfare and urban development.
