In a commendable display of recognition, President Asif Ali Zardari has announced honors for officers and soldiers of the Pakistani armed forces in Rawalpindi. The public relations department of the armed forces reported this move, highlighting the valour and dedication exhibited by these individuals.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a total of one Sitara-e-Basalat and 135 Tamgha-e-Basalat will be awarded to officers and soldiers for their outstanding service and contributions to the nation.
Among the awards announced are 45 Imtiazi Asnad, 148 Chief of Army Staff Commendation Cards, 23 Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), 109 Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), and 137 Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military).
Special Services Group soldier Israr Muhammad is set to receive the prestigious Sitara-e-Basalat, while the late Brigadier Mustafa Kamal Shaheed will be posthumously honored with the Tamgha-e-Basalat for their exceptional bravery and sacrifice.
ISPR also disclosed that Lt Col Safdar Ali Khan, Major Muhammad Jawad Shaheed, and Major Mian Abdullah Shah Shaheed will be awarded the Tamgha-e-Basalat for their gallantry and sacrifice. Additionally, Major General Saeedur Rehman Sarwar, Major General Muhammad Asim Khan, and Major General Nadeem Yousaf will receive the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).
This announcement underscores the unwavering commitment of the Pakistani armed forces to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and security. The bravery and selflessness demonstrated by these officers and soldiers serve as a testament to their dedication and professionalism in the face of adversity.
