KARACHI PAKISTAN : An Evening in Honor of Renowned Poet and Senior Bureaucrat Rehman Faris and Eminent Poetess Humira Gul Tashna (USA) was Organized at Menhal House. Hosts Wasiq Naeem (Chairman Star Marketing Group) and Mahmood Ahmed Khan welcomed both the poets at the event.
In the event, the guest poet Rehman Faris, who came from Lahore, thanked the host Wasiq Naeem and Mahmood Ahmed Khan for organizing the evening and honoring them. Humira Gul Tashna, a prominent poet who came from America, first recited a fresh ghazal and some poems of hers, and later recited a ghazal in Tarnam on the request of Mehmood Ahmed Khan.
The audience applauded Humira Gul Tishna. Later Rahman Faris introduced Kisht-e-Zafran and recited his humorous poetry and later enthralled the audience with his famous ghazals and poems.
The participants of the event were the hosts of the event, the hosts included Akhlaq Ahmed, Rizwan Siddiqui, Saima Alvi, Nadeem Zafar Siddiqui, Sheikh Rashid Alam, Jamal Azhar, Farhan ur Rehman, Imam Hasan Siddiqui, Farooq Arshi, Sarfaraz Jafri, Syed Tarab Shah etc.
At the end of the ceremony, Chairman Star Marketing Group Wasiq Naeem and Mehmood Ahmed Khan presented floral gift and commemorative shield to both the guests of honor. The ceremony was organized by the well-known compere Agha Shirazi.
