Kotri: The plantation drive in Government Girls Degree College Kotri has started on a grand scale. In the plantation day ceremony organized under the auspices of the Botany Department of the College, the colorful inauguration of the plantation campaign done by the Chief Guest, Prof. Khadija tul-Kubra, Principal of the College by cutting the ribbon. Prof. Nusrat Abro of Botany Department presented her with a bouquet and Ajrak.
Whereas, after the recitation of the Holy Quran by the President of the said department Prof. Sakina Soomro, also performed the duties of comparing, the student Madiha presented Naat Rasool Maqbool PBUH. On this occasion, Professor Khadija Al-Kubari in her address discussed the related history of forests & the Indus Valley and appreciated the efforts of the concerned teachers and students in organizing the said program.
Prof. Nazir Ahmed Shahani of the concern Department highlighted the importance of new trees and forests. Aisha AIrum, Director of Physical Education of the college informed the media, the details in this regard. She said that the this campaign has been started with the planting of saplings by the principal and senior teachers. The students under the supervision of their class teachers planted saplings at different corners and made the each corner of the college green and green which was appreciated by the principal and other staff members.
